These terms govern your use of the DawnLight app. By downloading or using DawnLight, you agree to them. Please read the disclaimer in section 3 carefully.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using DawnLight, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DawnLight on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

3. Not medical, mental-health, or professional advice

DawnLight is for spiritual reflection and general wellbeing only. Its scripture, reflections, breathing exercises, body scans, and AI Chaplain responses are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or professional advice, and are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact your local emergency services or a licensed professional immediately.

4. AI Chaplain

The AI Chaplain generates responses automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect your beliefs or circumstances. It does not provide counseling, spiritual direction, or professional guidance. Use your own judgment and consult trusted people and professionals for important decisions.

The DawnLight name, logo, design, original written content, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app’s content except as permitted by law.

7. Scripture copyright notices

Scripture quotations in DawnLight are taken from the translations listed below and are used within the quotation limits each publisher grants. Every verse in the app is displayed with its translation alongside the reference.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it in any unlawful way.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

DawnLight is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DawnLight and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, shown here with a new “Last updated” date.
